VISION EXAMS
Having healthy eyes and good vision is critical in just about every aspect of your daily life. Undergoing comprehensive eye exams is the best way to ensure that you enjoy optimal vision throughout every stage of your life.
EYE DISEASE
There are multiple eye diseases that can be detected by your optometrist before significant symptoms or vision loss occurs. We believe regular eye examinations are important, even if you are capable of seeing 20/20 on an eye chart!
PEDIATRIC EYECARE
The American Optometric Association suggests a first comprehensive eye exam around 6 months old. While eye and vision problems are not common at this age, early detection is key! A second eye exam is encouraged around age 3, and a third exam before beginning kindergarten.
ABOUT VIEWPOINT EYECARE
Dr. Hiatt is a local from Petal, Mississippi. She received her undergraduate degree from William Carey University and continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Optometry. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2012 and began her career in Meridian, Mississippi. In 2014, Dr. Hiatt returned to Hattiesburg to provide care to the area she proudly calls home. She is a mother of two sweet girls and is married to Jake Hiatt, also of Petal, Mississippi.
